TRAVEL!

The world is too little.

We will never give up. We won’t stop protesting. Today, a 17 year old guy from Carúpano, was brutally runned over by a car while he was protesting. The street was crowded and this man in his car came, honking and saying he had to pass. The guys didn’t allow him to pass so he decided to accelerate and pass anyway, running over José Mendez, and leaving him there, barely alive. He was immediately taken to hospital to get an emergency surgery, but he didn’t make it. He died. That isn’t fair. He was only seventeen. This picture is in his memory, and in the memory of Bassil and Robert, the other students murdered in Caracas. I just wanted the world to know. The world needs to know that we won’t stop protesting. Pray for us.

I know I use this blog to post travel pictures, but I wanted to dedicate just one post to those guys who were killed yesterday in Caracas, Venezuela.

As a venezuelan, I am very, very touched by the situation my country is going through, and as I have so many followers here I think I can let people know the reality we are living nowdays. I was thinking to leave the country, without fighting for my rights, but if I Ieave Venezuela, I would have to leave here my heart and my family, and I don’t want to.

I am so honored that CNN is reporting the situation, because the media don’t show anything, neither to us, neither to the world wide. How is that possible? How can be possible that people have to actually fight for a packet of toilet paper? How is it possible that we can’t find necessary products in the supermarket? How is it possible that we have to make long rows to get a bottle of milk? How is it possible that STUDENTS ARE MURDERED IN FRONT OF LOTS OF PEOPLE AND THE GOVERNMENT SAYS NOTHING IS HAPPENING??? I can’t even… I am absolutely terrified.

I want to let the world know that today we made a protest. Yesterday we made a protest, tomorrow we will protest and we won’t stop. WE DON’T WANT THIS GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE TAKING OUR PEOPLE, OUR RIGHTS AND THEY ARE TAKING OUR COUNTRY! And I shouldn’t leave myy country, but if I have to, I won’t do it without fighting first.

Pray for Venezuela.
